The term Reichswarenzeichenregister, abbreviated RWZR, is the name of the former imperial registration office for marks and trademarks which was established in 1875. Its functions were taken over in 1949 by the Deutsche(s) Patentamt, which finally became the Deutsches Patent- und Markenamt (DPMA) in 1998.
