is the generic term for all items with a certain body color, outside Germany mostly referred to as (old) ivory (colored) porcelain.
Especially the name Old Ivory is very interesting in this context as many people incorrectly believe that Hermann Ohme (Niedersalzbrunn, Silesia) actually owned the name rights. He registered marks which contained the term (which were accepted, based on their form of appearance) but the name Old Ivory itself could not be registered/copyrighted as it was a common description of a certain color.
